I want to pick up a particular mobile I like which is available through Vodafone pay monthly offer in london. Now in a few months i will be working from US or India, adn then if i pick up a Vodafone pay as u go sim in US or India, will it work with my mobile?

The only way you will know is to ask Vodafone
Typically it is already unlocked outside the home country.
They should unlock it to outside UK networks readily.
They are usually only interested in charging for going to another rival operator…but if they do, unlock it completetly or go for another cheap phone (prefereably without a data option.. as most places charge hig data costs)
In your conversation I would re-assure them that you want to stay with vodafone UK… even though you will use Local SIM’s in other countries.
- if they wont, go get another phone from someone like Orange, they dont seem to lock their phones in my experience, only put a Orange label on them.
It is likely, but possible that it wont. You could always unlock the phone.
